Dear Colleagues,

The U.S. Department of Energy’s Institute for Nuclear Theory (INT) and
the Department of Physics of the University of
Washington invite applications for one or more Postdoctoral Scholar
positions starting in Autumn 2023. The INT’s local research interests
include QCD, lattice gauge theory, quantum computing, many-body theory,
nuclear astrophysics, effective field theory, weak interactions and
symmetries, relativistic heavy ion physics, high energy nuclear physics,
and nuclear structure. The Institute hosts approximately 450 visiting
scientists each year, representing all areas of nuclear physics as well
as its intersections with neighboring subfields.  For further
information about the INT see: https://www.int.washington.edu/
<https://www.int.washington.edu/>

Postdoctoral Scholar appointments are full-time, 12-month appointments
for a duration of two years, with the possibility of renewal for a third
year, subject to funding and mutual agreement.  The Postdoctoral Scholar
title is limited to at most five years of postdoctoral experience(s) at
both the UW and any prior institutions.

Postdoctoral Scholars are represented by UAW 4121 and are subject to the
collective bargaining agreement, unless agreed exclusion criteria apply.
