Institute for Nuclear Theory (INT) and the Department of
Physics of the University of
Washington invite applications for one or more
Postdoctoral Scholar positions starting in Autumn 2023.
The INT’s local research interests include QCD, lattice
gauge theory, quantum computing, many-body theory, nuclear
astrophysics, effective field theory, weak interactions
and symmetries, relativistic heavy ion physics, high
energy nuclear physics, and nuclear structure. The
Institute hosts approximately 450 visiting scientists each
year, representing all areas of nuclear physics as well as
its intersections with neighboring subfields. For further

full-time, 12-month appointments for a duration of two
years, with the possibility of renewal for a third year,
subject to funding and mutual agreement. The Postdoctoral
Scholar title is limited to at most five years of
postdoctoral experience(s) at both the UW and any prior
