This Friday, November 26th, at 16:00 (CEST, Madrid time) we will have 
our 11th seminar in the High Energy Scattering Series:

"The double copy - gravity from gauge theory"

Christopher White

(Queen Mary University of London)

"The "double copy" is an intriguing and recently discovered relationship 
between gauge theories and gravity. Originating in the study of 
scattering of amplitudes, and inspired by known results in string 
theory, the double copy has since been applied to classical solutions. 
It thus offers new calculational techniques for astrophysics and beyond, 
including those relevant for gravitational waves. In this talk, I will 
review where the double copy comes from, before discussing current 
applications in classical physics, and describing open problems."
