<p><strong>Call for expression of interest for tenure-track position in physics</strong></p>
<p>The Physics Department at Instituto Superior Técnico invites expressions of interest for tenure-track positions. Preference will be given to applicants at the Assistant Professor level.</p>
<p>Highly qualified candidates with a strong research background in the following fields: condensed matter and nanotechnology, particle and nuclear physics, astrophysics and gravitation, are encouraged to apply. The Institute is particularly interested in (potential) leaders of research groups in the above fields.</p>
<p>Candidates must have an excellent record of publications, a clear potential to promote and lead research activities, and a specific interest in teaching at the postgraduate level to skilled students recruited internationally.</p>
<p><u>APPLICATIONS</u></p>
<p>Applicants should submit their expression of interest by sending (in a single pdf document)</p>
<ul>
<li>a motivation letter (max 2 pages).</li>
<li>a curriculum vitae (max 2 pages)</li>
<li>a selection of up to 10 (ten) relevant publications or scientific contributions in the last 5 (five) years, detailing the candidate’s contribution (max 2 pages).</li>
<li>contact (including email address) of three researchers or professionals who can be contacted to provide reference letters, attesting to the scientific, pedagogical, and professional qualities of the possible candidate.</li>
<li>a brief research statement (max 2 pages).</li>
</ul>
