traumáticos a los nervios periféricos tienen una alta incidencia en todo el
mundo. Frente a una lesión, aún después de la reparación inmediata del nervio
lesionado, la evolución funcional del nervio es generalmente decepcionante. </span></p>

Schwann (CS) es la estrategia más efectiva tanto en lesiones del nervio como de
médula espinal; pero desde un punto de vista práctico no es adecuada ya que los
trasplantes autólogos requerirían el cultivo de células obtenidas a partir del
sacrificio de un nervio sano. </span></p>

medicina regenerativa y el descubrimiento de nuevas fuentes de células madre
multipotentes a partir de diferentes tejidos adultos, surgieron como
herramienta para la reparación del sistema nervioso periférico (SNP) las
terapias celulares que reemplacen el trasplante de células formadoras de
mielina como son las (CS). </span></p>

dentro del campo de la medicina regenerativa el uso de herramientas
nanotecnológicas para la resolución de problemas biológicos. La utilización de
nanopartículas magnéticas de óxidos de hierro (Fe3O4) para el delivery de
fármacos, anticuerpos, etc., está siendo ampliamente estudiada. En nuestro
laboratorio proponemos la utilización células multipotentes cargadas con NPM y
direccionadas magnéticamente hacia el nervio lesionado para la reparación de
nervios periféricos.</span></p>

mostrarán los resultados de la síntesis y caracterización de nanopartículas
magnéticas de magnetita funcionalizadas con ácido cítrico, su internalización
por las células mesenquimales multipotentes (CMTA) derivadas tejido adiposo y
finalmente una serie de experimentos in vivo donde se evalúan los efectos del
direccionamiento magnético de CMTA sobre la reparación de un nervio lesionado.</span></p>
