desafío importante en la neurociencia es comprender el papel de la estructura
de orden mayor a dos de las correlaciones en de las poblaciones neuronales.</span><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"></span></p>

de espiga mediante el umbral de una variable aleatoria en una gaussiana
multivariada. Las entradas al modelo están distribuidas de forma Gaussiana y,
por lo tanto, no tienen interacciones más allá del segundo orden en sus
entradas, sin embargo, pueden inducir correlaciones de orden superior en las
salidas o los spikes neuronales. Proponemos una combinación de técnicas
analíticas y numéricas para generar una extensión del modelo DG de forma de
estimar los cumulantes en las distribuciones de probabilidad de disparo en las
salidas hasta el cuarto orden. Nuestros hallazgos muestran que una gran
cantidad de interacciones por pares en las entradas puede inducir correlaciones
de orden superior en las salidas con cumulantes de tercer y cuarto orden que
puede llevar al sistema a dos regímenes posibles, uno con baja actividad
("estado  DOWN" ) y otro con
alta actividad (``estado UP ''). Esto nos inspira a examinar el comportamiento
de las fluctuaciones críticas por medio del cumulante de Binder que analiza las
fluctuaciones de orden superior cercanas al punto crítico, mostrando que las
correlaciones de orden superior en las salidas generan un sistema neuronal
crítico que presenta una transición de fase de segundo orden.</span></p></div>
