<div><span style="color: #9900ff; font-size: large;">neuroepitelio. Las células madre neuronales que componen este epitelio</span></div>
<div><span style="color: #9900ff; font-size: large;">tienen que, ya sea proliferar para expandir el pool de células madre</span></div>
<div><span style="color: #9900ff; font-size: large;">neuronales -progenitores proliferantes- o diferenciarse para generar</span></div>
<div><span style="color: #9900ff; font-size: large;">neuronas -progenitores diferenciadores-. Esta decisión entre proliferación</span></div>
<div><span style="color: #9900ff; font-size: large;">y diferenciación es clave para determinar el número y el tipo de células</span></div>
<div><span style="color: #9900ff; font-size: large;">neuronales que van a componer el cerebro.</span></div>
<div><span style="color: #9900ff; font-size: large;">Un ratón transgénico generado en el laboratorio nos ha permitido estudiar</span></div>
<div><span style="color: #9900ff; font-size: large;">esta decisión celular. Este ratón permitió separar los progenitores</span></div>
<div><span style="color: #9900ff; font-size: large;">proliferantes de los progenitores diferenciadores como tambien de las</span></div>
<div><span style="color: #9900ff; font-size: large;">neuronas que coexisten durante el desarrollo cerebral. La secuenciación del</span></div>
<div><span style="color: #9900ff; font-size: large;">transcriptoma de estos tres tipos celulares ha revelado numerosos genes que</span></div>
<div><span style="color: #9900ff; font-size: large;">son críticos para la decisión entre proliferación y diferenciación. Entre</span></div>
<div><span style="color: #9900ff; font-size: large;">estos se encuentran principalmente genes que codifican para proteínas</span></div>
<div><span style="color: #9900ff; font-size: large;">previamente no caracterizadas y para ARNs no codificantes. La manipulación</span></div>
<div><span style="color: #9900ff; font-size: large;">de cuatro de estos genes ocasionó claras alteraciones en el compromiso</span></div>
<div><span style="color: #9900ff; font-size: large;">neuronal, indicando que estos resultados son un recurso valioso para la</span></div>
<div><span style="color: #9900ff; font-size: large;">identificación de nuevos genes con roles en el desarrollo neuronal. Aún</span></div>
<div><span style="color: #9900ff; font-size: large;">más, estos resultados han dado origen a varios proyectos que actualmente</span></div>
<div><span style="color: #9900ff; font-size: large;">tiene lugar en el laboratorio.</span></div>
