<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;"><span>This is a further reminder of the conference STATPHYS 26 to be held in Lyon, France, <br /> which is approaching fast. In addition to the <strong>talks</strong> and <strong>poster</strong> sessions, to the <strong><br /> Boltzmann Medal ceremony</strong>, note that the conference will include a <strong>Memorial <br /> lecture</strong> dedicated to Leo Kadanoff given by Mitchell Feigenbaum. <span style="text-decoration: underline;"></span><span style="text-decoration: underline;"></span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;"><strong><span>Lyon</span></strong><span> is known as the gastronomic capital of France, but </span><span>Lyon is also <strong>a city with <br /> 2000 years of history</strong> that you can discover as you walk through its districts that <br /> make up the UNESCO World Heritage Site, ranging from Roman architecture to bold <br /> contemporary creations such as the “Musée des Confluences”. The old city centre <br /> known as “le Vieux Lyon” is the second most important Renaissance district in Europe <br /> after Venice, dating back to the 14th to 16th centuries. Descending from the hill of Fourvière <br /> – former Roman colony, now dominated by its imposing 19<sup>th</sup> century Basilic – one can <br /> discover a rich array of architectural developments. These include “La rue Mercière”, <br /> with its 17th century buildings and the 18th to 19th century district of the “Presqu’île” <br /> between the Saone and Rhone rivers. The following video gives a view of several of these locations: <span style="text-decoration: underline;"></span><span style="text-decoration: underline;"></span></span></p>
