Research positions in Quantum Machine Learning at QML-CVC

Our Quantum Machine Learning Group <https://qml.cvc.uab.es/> (QML-CVC) of the Computer Vision Center (CVC)<https://www.cvc.uab.es/> is looking to hire researchers at different levels. POST-DOCS:
We are looking for postdocs interested in applying to the competitive calls offered by the CVC in different funding modalities. It is necessary to contact fernando en cvc.uab.cat<mailto:mbilkis en cvc.uab.cat> prior to the application to define a suited research topic:

·  (1x) 3-year postdoc position (Ramon-Llull Call)<https://ramonllull-aira.eu/> (expected to open from November 2024 to January 2025). For candidates not resident in Spain OR not having resided in Spain for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the call deadline. Type: Marie Skłodowska-Curie (MSCA) COFUND funded by the European Commission. Expected starting contract: Q2-Q4 2025.

· (1x) 1-year postdoc position (AIRA Call<https://airacat.eu/>) (expected to open from December 2024 to February 2025). Type: Talent Development Strategy on AI from the Catalan Government (AIRA). Expected starting contract: Q1-Q2 2025.

· (1x) 2-year postdoc position (MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2025<https://marie-sklodowska-curie-actions.ec.europa.eu/actions/postdoctoral-fellowships>)  (expected to open from April 2025 to September 2025). For candidates not resident in Spain OR not having resided in Spain for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the call deadline and with a maximum of eight years of experience in research, from the date of the award of the PhD degree. Type: Marie Skłodowska-Curie (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowship funded by the European Commission. Expected starting contract: Q2 2026.

PHD STUDENTS:
We are looking for potential PhD candidates to join the group in September 2025.

· (1x) PhD. UAB PhD program in Computer Science, in topics related to Quantum Machine Learning. Candidates would develop their PhD (3 years, with a maximum extension to 4 years) within the QML-CVC group under the supervision of Dr: Matias Bilkis and Dr. Fernando Vilariño. Starting in September 2025.

INTERNSHIPS:
Additionally, we offer internship opportunities for short-term research stays (open all year), targeted to both pre-doc students and post-doc researchers.
