Hi,

Application for 15 grants on 40 possible PhD topics on the theme of "AI 
and uncertainty" has opened at Université Paris-Saclay, it will close 
Wed 17th January 23:59 CET.

Please forward the information to possible interested students.

This is an european Marie Sklodowska Curie Action COFUND program, open 
to students of all nationalities, who have spent less than 12 months in 
France from 18 Jan 2021 to 17 Jan 2024.

The theme is broad, but  there are 4 PhD topics relevant to HEP and 
nuclear physics, open to students with a physics master.

  * Machine Learning for inverse problems in hadron structure

  * Accessing the pion 3D structure with CLAS12

  * Propagation of uncertainties of a Monte Carlo nuclear reaction code
    used in a transport code

  * Advanced Artificial Intelligence Techniques for Particle
    Reconstruction in the CMS detector using Precision Timing and
    Attention Mechanism


(a similar call with different PhD topics on the same AI uncertainties 
theme will take place next year)
