Dear colleagues,


We announce the opening of a postdoctoral position in the NEUMATT 
theoretical group at INFN Sezione di Catania starting *not later than 
**November 1st**, 2023*.

The position is associated with the research activities of the Catania 
group, i.e. the  equation of state of neutron star matter, cooling 
processes and gravitational waves emission. Staff members of the group 
include Fiorella Burgio, Hans-Josef Schulze and Isaac Vidana.

The research topic of the post-doc fellowship is /Effects of Dark matter 
on Neutron Star Properties./ Details about the position call may be

/Applications, in electronic form, must be submitted to INFN not later 
than /November 11th, 2022 (11:59 a.m. CET).
Candidates are required to have a PhD in theoretical physics. Candidates 
who are preparing their doctoral thesis are  eligible to apply; however 
they must have obtained their PhD degree by November 1st, 2023 or in any 
case before taking up their appointment with INFN.
The research fellowship is initially issued for one year, and may be 
extended for a second year.

Catania is a beautiful city in southern Italy, right on the 
Mediterranean Sea. The Etna volcano is within reach with its lovely 
small towns, the landscape and hiking trails.  Art, culture, and food 
are outstanding. Catania hosts an international airport with worldwide 
connections.
