Job description: 

The Centre for Cosmology, Particle Physics and Phenomenology  [1](CP3)
at the Université Catholique de Louvain [2] (UCLouvain) invites
applications for a postdoctoral position in theoretical physics. The
appointment is initially for 12 months starting in autumn 2021. It may
be extended if funding becomes available. 

The CP3 offers an excellent research environment, a friendly work
atmosphere and opportunities to collaborate with scientists at many
other universities in Belgium and abroad. Theoretical research
directions include Cosmology and General Relativity [3], Data analysis
in HEP and GW experiments [4], Phenomenology of elementary particles [5]
and Theories of the fundamental interactions [6]. In addition, there are
excellent opportunities to interact with experimentalists. The
experimental collaborations represented at CP3 [7] include CMS, NA62 and
VIRGO. CP3 is situated in the same building as the centre for Cosmology,
Universe and Relativity (CURL) [8]. 

The candidate should indicate an interest in one or several of the
following topics 

 	* _particle physics phenomenology beyond the SM_
 	* _particle cosmology_ (Dark Matter production, baryogenesis,
neutrinos...)
 	* _early universe physics _(inflation and reheating, gravitational
waves from the early universe, ...)
 	* _astroparticle physics _
 	* _neutrino physics_ (neutrino mass models, phenomenology, connection
to cosmology)
 	* _nonequilibrium quantum field theory, thermal field theory_

Candidates should have obtained a doctoral degree (or equivalent) in
theoretical particle physics or cosmology by the starting date. Members
of underrepresented groups are especially encouraged to apply. 

Applications must be made through CP3s application system

short cover letter specifying the candidate's interests and preferred
starting date, a full CV with publication list and other documents that
the candidate considers relevant for the application. All documents
should be merged in a single pdf. Candidates should also arrange for
three letters of reference to be submitted, and indicate the names and
contact details of their referees in their application, so that we can
contact them in case we are lacking a letter or have further questions. 

*Revision of the applications will begin on 5th July* and continue until
the position is filled.
