A postdoctoral position is available at the Institute of Behavioural
Neuroscience, University College London, London, UK. The institute has a
dynamic and collaborative environment with 5 principal investigators, 9
postdocs, 10 Graduate students and a steady stream of Masters and
rotation students from diverse backgrounds. 

The position will be based in Aman Saleem's group (www.saleemlab.com
[1]). We study visual and navigation circuits in the brain to understand
how visual information is processed and used for a representation of
space (e.g. place cells or grid cells) using rodent virtual reality. The
lab uses a combination of experimental (large-scale extracellular
electrophysiology, virtual reality, rodent behaviour and optogenetics)
and computational approaches (decoding large populations of neurons, and
systems level models of neural circuits) to investigate brain function. 

The candidate must have a PhD in Neuroscience, or a related field, and a
proven experience in _in-vivo_ experimental techniques. Proficiency in
data analysis using Matlab or Python will be beneficial. 

The position is available for 2 or 3 years with a possibility and is
funded for by a Wellcome Trust and Royal Society award to Aman Saleem.
