Dear José,

I invite you to encourage students interested in graduate school from
underrepresented backgrounds and identities in physics to participate
in a three-day
virtual event, sponsored by the Stanford Physics Department. The program
will be held October 17-19, 2024 and will prioritize students who are
applying for graduate programs in physics this fall.

The Stanford Physics, Identity, and Equity (PIE) program seeks to encourage
and enable students who may face barriers in the graduate school
application process. This program will provide information on the PhD
application process, the graduate experience and research at Stanford,
along with the opportunity to interact directly with Stanford faculty,
postdocs, and graduate students.

The application for the program is due by October 06, 2024 and is intended
to be simple and accessible to enable the broadest participation.
